Biography

Li Shengli: Chief Physician at Shanghai Ninth People's Hospital, Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine. He graduated from Shanghai Second Medical University in 1996 and received a doctorate in plastic surgery under the supervision of Professor Zhang Disheng. He also completed advanced training at the University of Genoa, Italy.

Since graduating with his bachelor's degree more than 20 years ago, Li Shengli has been engaged in clinical and scientific research in plastic surgery. He is proficient in routine aesthetic plastic surgery of the eyes, nose, ears, and other facial features, as well as scar revision. He has considerable experience in the repair of deviated nose deformity and blepharoptosis, and substantial experience in microsurgical flap transplantation for nasal defects; microlymphatic surgery is his specialty. Based on anatomical and clinical practice, he has written papers proposing a classification and surgical methods for deviated nose deformity, as well as new experience in microsurgical flap transplantation for nasal defects. In 1998, he applied lymphatic vessel-to-valved vein anastomosis, improving the success rate of microsurgery for lymphatic stasis. In 2006, he pioneered lymphatic vessel-containing flap transplantation, providing a new approach for the surgical treatment of obstructive lymphedema. He is currently a master's supervisor at Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine, a member of the International Society of Lymphology and its Nominating Committee, a member of the Italian Society of Microsurgery, an editorial board member of the Journal of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, and an editorial board member of the Chinese-US Journal of Lymphology.

He served as associate editor of one monograph and participated in the compilation of 8 monographs. He has won two Third Prizes of the Shanghai Municipal Science and Technology Progress Award.
